I need some current info: In the summer of 2002, the last time I was up
in BC, the gas dock at Bedwell was closed as part of a large remodeling project, but they were fairly sure they'd have it open by summer of 2003. Anyone been there recently and know if it has indeed been reopened? Thanks! -- ~/Garth - 1966 Glastron V-142 Skiflite: "Blue-Boat" "There is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats." -Kenneth Grahame, The Wind in the Willows |

They don't mention if showers are still free, but I'm guessing not. Oh well, I guess I'll find out in a week. -- ~/Garth - 1966 Glastron V-142 Skiflite: "Blue-Boat" "There is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats." -Kenneth Grahame, The Wind in the Willows |

If you don't need all the fancy resort stuff, there's a really relaxed marina at Port Browning. (Just through the Pender Canal) We were last there 2 years ago. Place was a bit worn down, and there was no water on the dock, but the pub was a-jumpin'. It's a short walk from the Port Browning marina to a little shopping district for food, beverages, and etc. |
