I need some current info: In the summer of 2002, the last time I was up
in BC, the gas dock at Bedwell was closed as part of a large remodeling
project, but they were fairly sure they'd have it open by summer of
2003. Anyone been there recently and know if it has indeed been reopened?

Thanks!

Yes.

Cool, thanks.

Hmm... Looks like they've gone the sappy name route, but at least the
pool is now heated. They don't mention if showers are still free, but
I'm guessing not. Oh well, I guess I'll find out in a week.

If you don't need all the fancy resort stuff,
there's a really relaxed marina at Port Browning. (Just through the Pender
Canal) We were last there 2 years ago.
Place was a bit worn down, and there was no water on the dock, but the pub was
a-jumpin'. It's a short walk from the Port Browning marina to a little shopping
district for food, beverages, and etc.
