On a sunfish sailboat, what do you call the brackets that you attach
the bridle too, and where can I get a couple of them?

They're called "eyestraps"... part #79203 includes 2 straps and 2
screws, available at most Alcort/SLI/Vanguard dealers in the parts
department...
