Shipping across the US, reasonable ?

How much should one expect to pay to have a 4000 lb, 25 foot power boat,
8' 6" beam, shipped across the US ? Say from Maine to San Diego ?

I suspect it is not cost effective, but would appreciate insights.

Thanks,

-Sven

$2000 to $2500.

I mention this only because he said "say Maine to San Diego", so his route
might be hypothetical: If the trip involves a common carrier, i.e. a
trucker, expect to pay a LOT more going in the opposite direction. Truckers
love heading to CA because they can almost always find a backhaul.
