I put a Cobra SS Edge hydrofoil on my Monterey 196/4.3L/190hp and am
satisfied with the change in performance. I have a lowered on-plane speed, and am also able to raise the bow more when running in heavier waves to prevent stuffing the bow into a wave. I lose a couple of mph at top end, but don't miss them. If you get the SS version, don't bother with the black one, since all the paint came off mine within a month. Here's the link to the Cabelas one: http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/te...tem.jhtml?id=0 000917010805a&navAction=jump&navCount=0&indexId=&p odId=0000917&catalogCode=I D&parentId=&parentType=&rid=&cmCat=search Do Hydrofoils work and Is there one better than another? I have a Glastron SX 195 with a 5 liter 220hp motor and I would like to be able to be on plane at a slower speed. I usually have to be going about 15 or 20mph to get on plane. Any Ideas??? |
