Latest Buoy Report at 42001
Wave heights 38.1 feet, barometric pressure 28.04 inches and still
falling. Unbelievable. Yes, amazing that it is still there and sending up data. It came very
close to a direct hit by the eye wall, and barometric pressure bottomed out at 27.34 inches. I have never seen pressure that low before. It must be awesome out there. |

And yes, the watching the hurricane itself is cool. Hasn't harmed a person yet. As a matter of fact, I watched the video of the hurricane guys fly into the eye of it. One of them said something like the eye wall of this thing is amazing, I've never seen another one as well defined. Then, one of the data takers behind him said, as close to verbatim as I can remember, when we got to the wall, the barometer just FELL, this is cool, almost surreal..... Are those that do this for a living "unbelievable"? Are the many, many meteorologists that are studying this thing terrible because they are doing so? Your trouble is you are so damned obsessed with me, that every thing I say you take negatively. I never ever, said I thought that loss of life and property was "cool". But, again, sitting here watching it IS cool. If you don't think so, don't ****ing watch it! |
