Do you have enough time and money to do it twice?

You can buy the shrinkwrap yourself. Use a heat gun, from what I
understand.

Do a search on the net for boat shrink wrap. You can buy a kit, including
gun and a roll of shrink wrap. You will also need nylon strapping and
vents.

The gun is actually more than just a heat gun...it is fueled by propane and
has a large open flame. It will take a couple of years of shrink wrapping
your boat to make up for the cost of the kit.

Make sure your insurance policy is up to date before you attempt to do your
own boat and make sure your marina (or yard where your store) will allow you
to do this. Also be prepared to accept some damage to your boat when doing
it for the first time. ;-)

I bought my gun used and I purchased a roll of film which so far has
lasted me for two seasons - I should be two more out of it.

Compared to how much it costs to have it done, either mobile or a
dealer/marina, you can save a lot of money with a little initial
investment.

My plan is to renovate my garage and extend it two feet so I can get My
Sandpiper 565 inside.
