The kid that hit my boat last year
just completed his freshman year at Keene state.....
got SUPER grades, joined a frat, got home for the summer, got his job back... and hung himself over a stupid ass fight with his girlfriend over the weekend. I just got back from his wake..... damn -W (who went out on a limb for him and got his DWI reduced from a felony to a violation so as not to ruin his life) |

Bummer.
The young feel things more completely and freely than the jaded old farts like the rest of us. Works in their favor when there's some joy to experience, winds up in teen suicide sometimes over issues that we jaded old farts would feel bad about for a few days and then just shrug off. Sorry for your loss. |

Makes sense. ~ Some people also dont' seem to realize that everything isn't always rosy. I don't know if it's Hollywood endings or because we all have it so good already or what, but people I see sometimes seem to foget that not everything always works out and is wonderful. My condolences. |

Unfortunately, when the person is in the depths of depression, he feels the
best thing for himself and those he loves is to end it all. I know someone who attempted suicide and he honestly believed he was messing up his loved ones life by being depressed. My sympathy to the family and you. Had a friend in High School, who killed himself when he broke up with his first girlfriend. Could not understand it then, or now. Bill |

I was going to let that pass, but most of the songs they talk about
glorifying suicide is the exact opposite. "Slambram" wrote in message ... On Thu, 03 Jun 2004 20:12:39 -0400, Charles wrote: Not to mention all the trash music these kids listen to which glorifies suicide as something good. -- Charlie Yeah, right - it's "The MTV" |

Clams,
I don't think that people that commit suicide are thinking about the devastation they leave behind, perhaps they're hurting too bad. I wish there was a better way of reaching them but a lot of the time you're not aware of their pain. Paul "Clams Canino" wrote in message hlink.net... We'll never know *what* the argument was. Wally,
Sometimes I wonder if this life isn't our heaven or hell. Whatever we make it out to be. OK enough of that thought. :-) Paul "WaIIy" wrote in message ... Clams,
So sorry to hear of this. Suicide is always sad because even though someone can feel so destitute, they just don't realize how much others care for them. Take solace in the fact that you went out of your way to help this kid. -Jim Clams Canino wrote: just completed his freshman year at Keene state..... got SUPER grades, joined a frat, got home for the summer, got his job back... and hung himself over a stupid ass fight with his girlfriend over the weekend.
