Nice day on the bay today.
Harry,
Did you trailer YoHo or is YoHo back in the water? "Harry Krause" wrote in message . .. Slight chop this morning, but it was building up when I got back to the marina. Bit warm and muggy, though. Didn't take any photos of houses, though. Didn't fish, either. |

I was thinking of sailing down our Northwest Arm and taking pictures of all the nice houses on the bank. I could then post them here for the enjoyment of all. |

Yeah, I think if I go fishing on Lanier, I'll take some pictures of the largest houses and post them here for everyone to see. I understand that it really helps with a deflated ego. |

Or are you and the other guy jealous that I had a wonderful day boating with my wife and live in such a nice community? Me thinks the latter. Have a nice one Kevin. ;-) |
Kevin,
How did the photos have anything to do with anyone's ego, deflated or not? The individual was enjoying his boat, playing with a new digital camera and thought he would share the pictures of his day on the bay with rec.boats. This is the kind of posts we want to encourage (posts related to boating). Feel free to take some pictures of your next boat trip and post them, hopefully no one chastise you for making a boating related posts. wrote in message oups.com... I don't think it is possible for some people to refrain from making personal
attacks on those they disagree politically. At the very least, they should confine their personal attacks to OFF TOPIC posts. "*JimH*" wrote in message ... Silly you. Heck, one of those folks you talk about even hoped on the of members here
blew his head off with a shotgun today. And that same person previously said he does not hate those who disagree with him politically. Imagine that. "Starbuck's" wrote in message ... If you're on Lanier, watch out for Smitherscum sticking to the bottom of your boat. That's what the pressure washers are for! I wonder if my little electric 1450 psi would be powerful enough? |

I wonder if my little electric 1450 psi would be powerful enough? I'm still operating under what may be an old wive's tale, that pressure washers permeate the gel coat and soak the fiberglass underneath. I don't know if that is true, but it has kept me from ever using a pressure washer on any boat. I do use a brush with a four foot handle. It's perfect for most of the boat except the little nooks & crannies around the companionway hatch cover & the handholds on the coachtop. Smithers scum would be an emergency case and might require drastic measures. |

I had what I thought was a bit of Smitherscum on Yo-Ho this week along the waterline, but it just turned out to be some tannin from the Miles River. Here's the fisherman's marina where I typically launch Yo-Ho. It's late in the season but there still are a couple of hundred trailerboats there, plus the slipped boats. http://tinyurl.com/9cslx I've got some oily scum to dispose of also. I bought one of the large tubs (not as tall as a 77 liter garbage can but slightly wide) so I could run my 6 hp at home in the driveway. Now how do I dispose of the slightly oily water? I might have to but one of those special sponges you keep in your bilge. note: I can't use the earmuffs on my outboard because of the intake position |

I wish you and Harry would not carry on conversations concerning me, without my permission. ; ) "Don White" wrote in message ...
