OT A Poem of Bush Quotes

This poem is composed entirely of Bush quotes.

MAKE THE PIE HIGHER
by George W. Bush

I think we all agree, the past is over.
This is still a dangerous world.
It's a world of madmen and uncertainty
and potential mental losses.

Rarely is the question asked
Is our children learning?
Will the highways of the Internet become more few?
How many hands have I shaked?

They misunderestimate me.
I am a pitbull on the pantleg of opportunity.
I know that the human being and the fish can coexist.
Families is where our nation finds hope, where our wings take dream.

Put food on your family!
Knock down the tollbooth!
Vulcanize society!
Make the pie higher! Make the pie higher!

[email protected] September 15th 05 05:59 PM

We all agree that Bush seems to have some sort of language dyslexia,
however, the obvious concepts make sense.
For example, "Make the pie bigger" clearly does not make sense to many
liberals who endlessly argue about how to make the pie slices ever so
equal but unfortunately ever smaller until most people would starve
while some of us argue that the relative sizes dont matter at all, What
matters is that the pie is big enough that everybody has enough even
though some people manage to get more than others. The idea that teh
amount of "wealth" is not fixed comes as a surprise to liberals who
seem to really think that wealth somehow is fixed by how much material
we mine, grow or pump out of the ground. They do not understand that
much of the increase in wealth in the last few years has no relation to
physical things but in organization of information. It does not matter
that Warren Buffet has so much more than a poor person, what matters is
that ALL of our poor have enough to do well and are in fact rich
compared to a generation ago. Realization that the size of the pie can
be made as large as we need should expand the imaginations of even
liberals.

If you think that there is simply enough pie for everyone, while the
corporations in bed with BushCo simply dip there hands in and take what
they want, you're delusioned. If someone greedy enough takes the whole
pie, while BushCo defends it, where is there any left for anybody
else?? And if you think that our poorest of poor have enough to do
well, you are again, delusional.

It is impossible for anybody to take a pie that is infinitely large.
No matter how much any entity takes, the economy can expand for others.

But it isn't infinite. There is an exact amount of federal debt, of
federal income, of federal spending. All of this contributes to the
finite size of the pie.

Sorry, I'm not Kevin, so would you please stop answering to MY posts?
Pretty stupid of someone to reply to someones post, calling them

I also do not see a direct relationship between the size of the economy

You may want to rephrase that. Of course there is a direct relationship
between the size of the economy and the federal budget. It's called taxes.

Learn to read. I didn't say the pie is limited by the size of the
Federal Government. I did, however say that the pie is finite in size
because the national debt, income and spending are finite. IF that is
what you are eluding to, then the answer is because that IS the pie.

You don't? Every single time you purchase something, every single time
you get income, every time you sell something there's these entities
called taxes.

you don't post derogatory comments, or that you don't call people
petty, childish names, or that you're not going to post OT anymore, or
that you're not going to lie about others here?

You don't? Every single time you purchase something, every single time

called taxes.

Still does not limit the size of the pie.

Taxation does not determine the size of the economy unless you tax at
100%. Very little of the economy is govt spending.
For all practical purposes (and I would argue that in reality) the
possible size of the economy is infinite.
