Well, I received a call from a lodge on the Vermillion River Between Lake Vermillion and Crane Lake.
It seems they have an opening for the week of 6/19-6/26. This sounds like another fun filled week communing with nature and some great fishing. I will update you all when I return as to how good the fishing was. The only downer this year is I have to cook for myself or drive 10 miles into town for a restaurant cooked meal. It still should be a great vacation... no phones other than a satellite phone and lots of Walleye, Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass, some cold Leinie's, and NO WORK FOR A WEEK! Who could ask for more? Ah yes, Leinenkugles. Made right here in Chippewa Falls. Try
Leines Red. Best beer on the planet. Also if your driving through this way there is a new Leinies Lodge and gift shop. Very nice. Have a great vacation. Leinies red is mostly brewed in Milwaukee. Other flavors and some red in Chipawa falls. Oh, and there is only 1 L in Vermilion. :-) del cecchi "Gary Shorrel" wrote in message ... Fredo -- Vermillion, SD, has two ll's, but you are correct in stating that the dictionary spelling of vermilion has but a single l. Place names are always fascinating. |

Lake Vermilion is one long ways from Vermillion SD. I am not sure one could drive it in eight hours. |
