Harry,
That was not a complement.

Sometimes Harry, it isn't even worth discussing with you.

You missed the point entirely.

Tom, now you understand why I infrequently visit this newsgroup. I like
Harry and have enjoyed many discussions, laughs and debates with him.
But,
he has developed a myopic viewpoint and obsession since Bush became POTUS
and it gets under your skin sometimes. Politics is politics and does not
belong in a boating newsgroup.

But, I'd still buy him a beer.

Why thank you. My current brand is Red Stripe, but I won't turn down a
Corona or a Montelo.

Red Stripe? I'll hafta to look for that. I'm a Sam Adams guy myself,
even
named our new family member, a black Lab puppy, "Samuel Adams".

Anyway, I'll find the Red Stripe and have it cold in the event you every
get
up this way, or down that way during the winter.

Whose picture is on the Sam Adams bottles?

Sam Adams has gone well beyond being a micro brewer, but they have managed
to keep a quality beer with flavor.

Except for some of the real micro brewers who truly brew specialty beers) I
find Sam Adams one of the better beers on the market.

Ya had to ask, huh?

I just ran downstairs and grabbed a bottle. I see the picture, but I can't
read the writing beside it (can't find my 1.50 diopter reading glasses).

I *do* remember reading however, that Samuel Adams beer is of German origin.
The people that started the microbrewery years ago used a reciepe
transported to New England by a German brewmaster and found by his
decendents in a trunk stored in an attic.

Sounds good, anyway.

Eisboch,

Neither . ; )

I have found some great pubs with a wide variety of draft beers made by real
microbrewers. If I am at the average bar, Sam Adams is normally available,
the Lager has a decent hoppy flavor.

If you ever get a chance to taste Sam Adams XXX Bock, it has a great taste.

PS - I tried the Sam Adams Light, and it might have better flavor than the
average light, but it still taste like a light.
