Sharpton Driver Arrested for Speeding
Aug 29 5:46 PM US/Eastern

WAXAHACHIE, Texas

A car carrying the Rev. Al Sharpton led sheriff's deputies on a nine-
mile chase at speeds up to 110 mph before state troopers stopped the
vehicle and arrested the driver, authorities said.

The civil rights activist called the sheriff's report "ludicrous" and
accused the Ellis County officers of "embellishing the story."

Seriously, you just can't make it up.

They should have given him the Rodney King treatment.

I wonder if he made it to the protest...um...errr...I mean "vigil" on time?

Begin 666..." ?

given him the Rodney King treatment, then Sharpton would have turned
around and used the Johnnie Cochran treatment.

110 mph, and says it's "ludicrous"

indeed!

Oh well, i don't think it's the first time either one has been led away
in cuffs

I can see the speeding ticket and the reckless driving, but evading
arrest? Maybe he didn't know he was being chased. Anytime I'm driving
over 100, I'm definitely not paying attention to what's behind me. ;-)
