Johnson 3 wire trim motor.. Red, Blue, green.. How to wire up?

Assuming Red is Hot.. Is Blue and Green ground? I tried this with just
terminals and could only get the trim down. Does it have to go through
the celonoid?

Thanks!

Red goes to battery positive. Connect green to ground to trim
down. Connect blue to ground to trim up. Yes, you need to use a solenoid
or relay to prevent the trim switch from burning out.

Okay!! Red is hot, the other two are up ground, and down ground. Mine
has a selenoid for up, not for down. It works fine. My pump motor kept
cutting out, I took it apart and there is a set of points to prevent
overheating. The points opened way before it ever even got warm, so I
took them out of the equation. It's been working fine since.

Thanks for the help.. We got it wired last night and it works fine
with the spare parts pump. ;-)

The other one is just froze up! :( Glad we have a parts motor or it
would had been more than 300.00 to fix
