Shot exhaust elbow/manifold water in engine...??

Quick question... If you have a corroded/bad exhaust elbow and/or manifold
and water is getting into the engine will you eventually see it when you
check the oil or just when you remove the plugs? I assume you'll see it in
the oil when checking... but want to make sure..

Thanks!

You should certainly see milky oil, if your engine gets that far. You might
see steamy exhaust. If there's enough water leaking in fast enough, you may
experience hydrolock when trying to start.

Pull the exhaust parts. Inspect. If they look yucky, replace. It's only a
matter of time, and the manifold/riser/elbow set is a hell of a lot cheaper
than a rebuild.
