Fascinating. I was able to view your jpeg attachment. I thought one
couldn't do that in text-only usenet group. Obviously, I was wrong.

Was wondering the same...

Viewed it just fine.

Nice boat.

Is that your house in the background?

Yes..the pale yellow one behind the mini-van...but don't pass that along
to some of the more questionable characters in this newsgroup.
We were in our window replacement mode so some don't matchup. Plus this
years 'bay window' addition on the first floor not shown.

You guys up in Canadianisms don't have to register your sail boats as
motor boats when you put an engine on them?

Not in Nova Scotia if the motor is less than 10hp.
Some other provinces (Ontario) do require it.

There ain't no such thing. You can have moderated groups which will
clip out images, but for general Usenet groups, you can post pictures
whenever you like.

Cox strips binaries from the post in text only groups. So, those of us with Cox
missed out. What's a good news server that doesn't strip the binaries?

I've always used Easynews, but I just did a little research and it
would appear that some do strip binaries from text groups.

I apologize to all - all these years on Usenet and I wasn't aware of
that.

Oh well. :)

Don't feel too bad. Cox just started this about six months ago. Prior to that
binary attachments were everywhere. Now, if the group doesn't say 'binaries',
Cox has probably stripped the attachments.

alt.binaries.pictures.fishing is a pretty empty group that's good for posting
pictures of fishing related stuff, which boats (imho) are, of course.

You can post them all you like, sure. I (and I'm guessing Harry too) was
surprised because Individual.net doesn't carry binary groups and
therefore filters out all binary attachments.
