Suzuki DF15 ignition proplem
In open sea engine misfired on both cylinders simultanously a few minutes,
and then stoppet. Impossible to start after repeated attempts. At last it fired on one cylinder and I was able to return to safety. Next day it started and ran normally. I do not want to go to sea until I have found out what caused the fault, and100% sure it will not happen again. What could it have been? CDI? Pulser coil? Moisture? Anybody know this ignition failure pattern? John |

Check all electrical connections on the engine and verify they are clean. I
would actually loosen all connections you can find, clean w/ a wire brush, and reconnect. Of course you would do this one at a time. Also make sure your battery connections are good and tight. Hand tight is usually not enough. Take a pair of pliers and tighten down. If this does not solve it - chances are you have either a coil or stator problem.
