New Motor for 1992 Grady White Overnighter.

What is recommended for this boat? It has an outrigger on the back and
currently has a 175 Evinrude that has seen better days and I think
needs replacement. Curious about the new 4 Cycles that are heavier and
their effect on the balance of the boat. Does anyone have a boat like
this with the outrigger and what would you recommend. A couple of
friends have Yamaha 2 cylcles, but had trouble with them that they
blamed on the MTB fuel additive. Another friend swears by his 4 cycle.
I am not a frequent boater, just want something that starts easily and
is reliable. Thinking of about 200 HP, seems to be the right size, but
someone said that anything over 175 on this boat would just be wasting
gas. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I don't know what an "an outrigger on the back" means (unless it is
the factory installed Grady-Drive), but personally, I'd look at a
200+hp Suzuki 4-stroke....

I don't know about that.... at least I can post "Suzuki" without
having to wade through all of the unsolicited "Fitch" invective....

Good point. :)

Sounds like you need to adjust your keyboard's idle mixture... :)
