Default sail logo

A friend and I just bought a 15 foot daysailer that we found at a local
sailboat dealership. When we asked what kind of boat it was, the reply was
"We have absolutely no idea; there is nothing on the boat to identify who
the manufacturer was, or the name of this type of boat". Apparently it was
manufactured in the 70's, and is obviously a production boat. The sail has a
logo on it, one that we have never seen. Any idea where we might go to find
some sort of "encyclopedia" of sail logos, so that we can identify this
boat? Thanks for the help.

There's a book that would help:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/reader/0395...034#readerpage
.. It has a few pages of logos in an appendix. I have a copy, if you put
a jpg of the logo up somewhere and post a ref to it (no binaries in
this ng, I think) I'll look for it for you.

Pete, if you want to send me a picture of it at alan at spirit28 dot com I
will post it the www.spirit28.com web site and you can direct people from
all of the boating newsgroups to it and maybe someone will know what it is.
