Finally, we took delivery of our new boat this past weekend. We still
can't really believe we did it! Thanks to all who answered questions and
gave advice.

Curious what a boat like that cost you (rough estimate is good). Also,
what do they charge for a slip in NC? Wife is pushing me to get a summer
home on the east coast. I live in Chicago and have a boat in Madison, WI,
but would like another one near the summer home.

Very nice boat!

Dan

The list price is around $160,000, that's no secret. No one pays list as far
as I know. You can get a discount, larger or smaller depending on the time
of year (relative to the model year), dealer stock, etc. We are keeping it
in dry storage, which is popular in this area. They use a huge forklift to
haul to boat in and out of the water as needed. It costs $2900 a year.

Wonder why, it all starts with Merc pricing itself out of the market!

Yammi's, good choice over Merc black!

Yamahas are very popular in this area. At least 80% of outboards are
Yamahas. My old boat had a Yamaha 2 stroke that did not have any problems
in over 12 years of use, so I am content with Yamaha.
