Lots of people in this newsgroup have a Francophile phobia. As to
distortion, do not want any noticeable. Give you headache. Last $14 pair I bought, On trip when I broke the ear piece off, droped on ground, and the left eye is good, the right eye looks like you are looking through a 500 year old window. I liek the Costa Del Mrs, but have had a pair or 2 walk off. Bill "Camilo" wrote in message ups.com... Bill McKee wrote: Will not buy a Ray-ban anymore. Had 2 Aviators break at the same place on the temple. They say they are not warranted over 3 months. Last pair I bought at Costco were Bolle's (even though they are made in France). $40. Their H2Optics. Even come with a great neck strap with floatation. Bill Don't understand the made in France reference? I usually buy glasses for less than $20 as long as they fit well, are comfortable, and, looking through them, they seem to be not grossly distorting or anything like that. I had a good pair of sunglasses once and they didn't seem to function any better than the cheap ones, and they succumbed to my abuse just as quickly - abuse in the form of mistreatment and mis-placement, if you know what I mean. |

I use the $20 jobs that fit over my prescription glasses. They do the job and I don't have to pay $450 for a pair of prescription sunglasses. When I buy new eyeglasses, I have the optical shop send the frames away (titanium) and have a pair of sunglasses custom made for a perfect fit. Costs me $90 - 100. each time. |

I've tried those, but on the boat the wind gets in my eyes and makes them water badly. I need something with protection on the sides. When I mentioned the price, I was referring to the wrap-around style. -- John H. On the 'PocoLoco' out of Deale, MD |

And what have you contributed on your own, Donny? You only seem to be in here to brown nose HK and Kevin. |

You should learn to keep your mouth shut. Better for you to be thought a fool, than to prove it. |
