Had 2 Aviators break at the same place on the temple. They say they are not warranted over 3 months. Last pair I bought at Costco were Bolle's (even though they are made in France). $40. Their H2Optics. Even come with a great neck strap with floatation. Bill Don't understand the made in France reference? I usually buy glasses for less than $20 as long as they fit well, are comfortable, and, looking through them, they seem to be not grossly distorting or anything like that. I had a good pair of sunglasses once and they didn't seem to function any better than the cheap ones, and they succumbed to my abuse just as quickly - abuse in the form of mistreatment and mis-placement, if you know what I mean. I use the $20 jobs that fit over my prescription glasses. They do the job and I don't have to pay $450 for a pair of prescription sunglasses. Wearing a cap with a black underside to the bill helps tremendously. -- John H. On the 'PocoLoco' out of Deale, MD |
