When on the water or driving I need decent sunglasses as I am sensitive to
sun glare. I don't like to spend a fortune on them (already lost a pair on my friends boat) but I like polarized glass lenses. I currently wear these glass lens polarized Ray-Bans: http://www.theyedoctor.com/images/products/AViTTB5W.JPG $100. Not the quality of Maui Jim's or Revo's but they do the job. ;-) How about you. Cheap, moderate or expensive? ++++++++++++ Cheap Sunglasses - ZZ Top When you get up in the morning and the light is hurt your head The first thing you do when you get up out of bed Is hit that streets a-runnin' and try to beat the masses And go get yourself some cheap sunglasses Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah Spied a little thing and I followed her all night In a funky fine levis and her sweater's kind of tight She had a west coast strut that was as sweet as molases But what really knocked me out was her cheap sunglasses Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah (solo) Now go out and get yourself some big black frames With the glass so dark thay won't even know your name And the choice is up to you cause they come in two classes: Rhinestone shades or cheap sunglasses Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah |

I still have my Ray-Ban Aviators with ambermatic (sp?) lenses ... they
darken but primarily reduce glare ... perfect. They can still be had by special order. When on the water or driving I need decent sunglasses as I am sensitive to sun glare. |

Will not buy a Ray-ban anymore. Had 2 Aviators break at the same place on
the temple. They say they are not warranted over 3 months. Last pair I bought at Costco were Bolle's (even though they are made in France). $40. Their H2Optics. Even come with a great neck strap with floatation. Bill "*JimH*" wrote in message ... When on the water or driving I need decent sunglasses as I am sensitive to sun glare. Bill Don't understand the made in France reference? I usually buy glasses for less than $20 as long as they fit well, are comfortable, and, looking through them, they seem to be not grossly distorting or anything like that. I had a good pair of sunglasses once and they didn't seem to function any better than the cheap ones, and they succumbed to my abuse just as quickly - abuse in the form of mistreatment and mis-placement, if you know what I mean. |

![]() Somebody originally wrote about sunglasses: How about you. Cheap, moderate or expensive? I also prefer the $100 Ray-Bans with glass lenses, mainly because I also use them when riding a motorcycle. I've tried several high end plastic lens types, but they all had some distortion and lacked the image clarity of glass lenses. Eisboch |

Bill I was able to get a free replacement from Ray-Bay when I had a problem with a lens constantly popping out from the frame. And it was most likely my fault as I readjusted the glasses to make the main frame fit closer to my face. I did not see Bolle sunglasses sold here at Costco. Is it a regional thing? |
