WEXFORD, Pa. -- The folks who live in Money magazine's 28th best town in the

That's because the "town" in question -- Wexford -- doesn't exist.

Morristown, NJ?

Vienna, Virginia? Blech. Had possibilities, but far too overcrowded
these days.

Peachtree City, GA? Near Atlanta? Double blech. Sorry.

Ever been to P'tree City? Really nice place.

Mill Valley, CA? Hehehe. Of all the places in California I find
appealing, Mill Valley ain't one of them.

NOWHERE in the Bay Area is livable. Again, this list wasn't compiled to
cater to a certain demographic such as boaters or fishers.

I see you have never been to Mill Valley.

I sure as hell have! While going to school, I worked part time for an

Sure, Charlie.

My first wife was a lovely woman, and very smart. I use the word "was"
because I haven't seen her in more than a decade, and have no idea what
she looks like now. But she had great cheekbones and was slim and trim
the last time I saw her. I didn't "do" anything to her, other than
obtain a no-fault divorce many years ago. The divorce was not contested.

I'm not "estranged" from my kids. I'm hoping to meet with one of them
this week or next for lunch in downtown DC, as soon as our schedules can
collide.

Nope, don't believe a word of it. In all your self-aggrandizement, your
children are conspicuously absent. The truth about you lies in what you
omit.

How about your wife and children, Charlie? How do they cope with living
with an unmitigated asshole like you?

I suppose I could say, the same way your first wife and children cope
with you, but unlike you, I'm not a liar, much less an habitual liar.

Moreover, the title of 'Unmitigated Asshole' has already been claimed by
you, and you viciously defend any attempt to take it away from you.

Isn't it time you started the 'bozo bin' charade again?

Of course you don't believe it, because it puts the lie to one of the
stories about me you've been dumping here for years.

I don't believe it because you are an habitual liar. It's been proved
way too many times to waste further time discussing. If your children
weren't estranged from you, we've have heard endless stories about them,
just like we have had to endure about your father, mother, and current wife.

A few months ago,
we had a semi-literate here named Tuuk who posted the same lies about
1000 times about who I was, how old I was, what I did for a living,
where I lived, and so on and so forth, ad nauseum.

Who cares,,,,,, besides you,,,,,,,, about Tuuk,,,,,,,,,,,?

Nice, Charlie. Now you're imitating Smithers. Two peas in a pod,

The one time I was in San Francisco, we drove in during the morning rush
hour from our motel in Redwood City. That was a mistake. I was scared
almost ****less driving the rental car. Everyone was driving at
breakneck speed bumper to bumper. If I showed down a smidge to allow
some stopping distance between me & the guy in front...some other
jackass would quickly dart into the space making it even more dangerous.
I prayed I was in the right lane...didn't have much chance to look at
road signs. As we got into the city and stopped at an intersection, a
yahoo driving an old van across our lane of traffic, jumped out with a
tire iron in his hand and started chasing the guy two cars up from us
around the vehicles. I decided it would be better to park at a garage
and take sightseeing boat/bus trips. Picked a garage under a major
hotel. That night when we arrived back to pick up the rental, the
parking garage refused to take the 'money orders' I was carrying as
payment. He advised me to go up to the hotel and cash them in there.
When I got up to the hotel front desk, they refused and told me it
wasn't their problem. I was getting desperate then...I made the biggest
fuss I could in their front lobby...and after a couple of different
managers came down to see what the fuss was about, one finally told the
money guy to cash the minimal I needed so I could be on my way.
I enjoyed my one day in Frisco up till then but was damn glad to be out.
To make matters worse...that was the year they decided to overhaul the
cable cars.

obtain a no-fault divorce many years ago. The divorce was not contested.

I'm not "estranged" from my kids. I'm hoping to meet with one of them
this week or next for lunch in downtown DC, as soon as our schedules can
collide.

How about your wife and children, Charlie? How do they cope with living
with an unmitigated asshole like you?

Was the divorce due to your use of drugs and alcohol, as you imply for others?

Nope. No fault. Two ships passing in the night, as it were.

Isn't 'no fault' just legalese for 'drugs, alcohol, abuse, and self-abuse'?

You said you went to school in Pennsylvania, or was the Georgia?

Morristown, NJ?

Vienna, Virginia? Blech. Had possibilities, but far too overcrowded
these days.

Peachtree City, GA? Near Atlanta? Double blech. Sorry.

Ever been to P'tree City? Really nice place.

Mill Valley, CA? Hehehe. Of all the places in California I find
appealing, Mill Valley ain't one of them.

NOWHERE in the Bay Area is livable. Again, this list wasn't compiled
to
cater to a certain demographic such as boaters or fishers.

I see you have never been to Mill Valley.

I sure as hell have! While going to school, I worked part time for an
architect that lived in Mill Valley, spent a lot of time there. Too
many people with there collective noses stuck in the air, trying to act
better than everyone else, all the while in horrible debt trying to
keep up with the Joneses.

I did not know Mill Valley was in Georgia or Pennsylvania. And Mill
Valley
is old money.

Idiot, when and where did I say that Mill Valley was in Pa or Ga??????
Your senility is showing again! I lived in the Bay Area for almost 2
totally miserable years. Yuck. People swarming like damned killer bees,
horrible traffic, dry as hell, too many people with their collective
noses in the air, and that air is horribly polluted, have to be careful
where you drive, you might get car-jacked or killed for whatever
pittance is in your wallet, and the list goes on. Been going to
Richmond lately to participate in the killings that happen therer
almost daily? Another fun thing, take BART to a Raiders game, instead
of getting off the train and walking to the stadium, take a
left....nice place, huh? The only good thing that came out of the Bay
Area, other than my wife and in-laws (some of them, anyway) is Casper's
hot dogs. Well, there are some good eats in S.F. proper, and a place in
Lafayette that has a hell of a brunch.

Actually I like to stay at the Beresford Arms Hotel when I stay in the city.
Is 2 blocks from Union Sq. Unfortunately my favorite restaurants are a
distance away. Buco Giovanni is number 1 and for a special treat the Friday
Buffet at the California Culinary Academy.

If you ever decide to go back, try staying at the Handlery Union Square in
downtown San Francisco. It is a great, small, and relatively inexpensive
hotel, more like a small European hotel, actually, that has on-site "park
it yourself" parking right out its back door. The hotel is right off Union
Square, if that means anything to you. It's my preferred hotel when I am
lucky enough to get to S.F., no matter who is picking up the tab. Walking
distance to many first-rate rastaurants, too, and right on a cable car
line.

Oh...and croissants and fresh coffee in the AM, at no extra charge. Right
outside your room.

You ever eat at the Dead Fish overlooking the Sacramento River?
Food's pretty good, the view is spectacular.

What town? Riverview in Isleton sounds more like your description.
Actually, we like Al the Wop's and the Chinese resturants in Locke when we
are boating the Sac. Locke is a very interesting town. Do a google on it.

The Dead Fish overlooks the Carquinez Straight, in Crockett, CA. I've
eaten there several times. It's especially nice now, since they've
built the NEW bridge! Also, if you look across the straight, you can
see the ship that they use for U.C.'s Maritime school. Oh, and the Dead
Fish has there own ale! Seeing how you've been there, here, take a trip
down memory lane:

That does look like a cool place. I'll have to check it out, plan on
being in the area around Oct.
