Just an update on the East Fork Trip:

I do not recommend this trip in low water levels, which is what we had, this
was a 3 section 3 day 2 night trip. We were flirting with nightfall each
night when we set up camp, and the current was non-existent. My fellow
paddlers called it a long skinny pond.

The SR37 US50 bridge to Williams Dam section is flat deep water, and
normally does not have much if any current. This is also not the most
scenic section of the river.

From Williams Dam to Hindostan falls which we did as 2 sections camping near
Shoals for the night (thanks to a very generous un-named land owner who
lived on the river!!! Also The owner of the bait shop at Williams Dam -
Johnny on the spot with a campsite and a portage around the dam) Back to
topic I think this section normally moves OK at normal water levels, the
gentleman at the dam who has been on the river for decades expected we would
see good current. Unfortunately apparently due to the low water conditions
(a good 2-3 feet from the looks of it) the current was gone, and we were
left with vigorous exercise. Other then that the section below Shoals has
some limestone cliffs, and scenic diversity not a bad paddle if there was
current.

Haven't been there myself, but looks pretty nice...
