Boat parasailing - hows it work
So I got this new 2005 Bayliner 175 Capri on the way (tomorrow night),
I've been interested in learning about how boat parisailing works? Where, or what would I search on to research this ? Does it use a wind-up rope deal or what ? Is it expensive stuff to get into ? Thanks |
Not enough power with that boat. Parasailing requires beaucoup HP, and some
major modifications to accomodate the platform and winch, etc. "Mr Wizzard" wrote in message ... Years ago, we did it with a tournament ski boat and beach starts. But with a big wind, the boat would be pulled backwards at times. |

So, you can see that the pull on the towline is more than you might expect. People have been killed when the towline breaks and the hapless parasailer is dragged through a beachfront area by the winds. |
