WSB's Veronica Waters reports a mailman escaped injury when two boys, 13 and 14, shot up his truck with an air rifle Monday. But Cherokee Sheriff's Spokeswoman Nicole Ebbeskotte says detectives are still hoping to get x-rays which might help determine what injured a 14-year-old girl who was hit in the head as she rode in the car with her mom on Ball Ground Highway June 8. "Because of the way it struck the juvenile, we are not able to get full access to the projectile," Ebbeskotte tells WSB. "So we might not ever know if it was truly a bullet or what it actually was." Police haven't found the weapon the 15-year-old suspect allegedly used in the girl's shooting, though he is reportedly cooperating with the investigation. All three teens are charged with terroristic acts, and were released into their parents' custody. Thursday, 16 June 2005 |
