Checkmate

What are your views on Checkmate boats? I don't know a lot about them
except that they are in the same category as a Baja sport boat.
Anything bad with the hulls? I am looking at a 1995 26 ft Persuader.

I have a 1996 24' Convincor 242, and I have had no complaints on the
form, fit, or function of the boat. It seems well built, and does what
it's supposed to do. My only "complaints" are purely personal
subjectivity, and not any fault of the boat itself.

On the other hand, my boat is garage kept, and I only put about 160
hrs on it since I bought it new, so it may still be too "new" for any
problems to show up.

A more descriptive story can be found he

Friends don't let friends buy Baja.

They may be in the same category, but not the same league.
