yamaha F4A , lots of 2nd hand ones around, why ?
 

I'm looking for a good 2nd hand 4 stroke engine and realised that
there are a lot of 2nd hand Yamaha 4HP 4 strokes on the market. I
wondered why so many were on the market so soon.

Hi Nig,

I had a new one with a 10' aluminum pram but sold it when I got a little
larger boat.

It has F-N-R transmission and top gas tank which runs a long time. I think
they are 48#?

Maybe they are just very popular so more are around?

I think a common problem is that too many of us boaters buy a motor that is
too small and then decide to upgrade.
