1993 30' Sea Ray Sundancer ; fuel sending unit

Anyone had to replace the fuel sending unit on this boat? I called Sea
Ray and the part has been discontinued from them and they could not
tell me where to buy an aftermarket one. I am sure Tempo or someone
makes one but I need the size and part number. I do not have the old,
original one which came in the tank to measure. Long story. :)

thanks

You probably only need the tank depth and the fuel guage number. There are
only 2 different ohm values for senders as far as I know.

Get a yard stick and measure the depth straight down from the opening for
the sending unit. They pretty much all adjust. Adjust the new unit till it
is the correct length fully extended. I'd leave a inch or so because he
pickup probably does not go to the bottom. Or if you want a little reserve
make it a few more inches shorter.
