How long it taakes to sell a boat?

I see lots of boats for sale with high prices and wonder if there is such a
big market for it. If I'm in the market for a boat will I be able to get a
"good price"?

Depends on the boat your looking for. Good boats at a fair price usually
sell fairly quick. Junk or overpriced boats tend to not sell.
I have been looking for another speed boat w/ 7 passenger seating for a
while now. The ones that are not junk or not overpriced are sold before I
can show up to look at them. The others have been for sale for months and
are still for sale.

Make lowball offers on the ones that are priced too high. You never know
when the guy selling it is going to realize he's never going to get what he
thinks it's worth.

Lately, I've seen two year old boats listed for very close to the same
price as new.

Hi Tony...

What is a "speed boat" as you are using/defining it?

For us it was always a V-8 inboard (Adirondack Mountains, NY) ... no
I/Os need apply (although that old Donzi with the Chrysler/Volvo I/O up
the lake was certifiably (sp?) FAST...

I am defining a speed boat as a Mirage, STV, Baker, Stoker, etc...
Something that is capable of running in the mid 90s and in my case an
outboard w/ 200+ hp. Check my web site.
