Slow oil leak possibly near fuel filter. advice???

I have a 94 chaparral with a 350Mag 5.7L. I have noticed today after a day
out on the water that there is a small oil leak. I can't seem to pinpoint
it exactly but there was fresh oil on the bottom of the fuel filter and also
near the fuel line and elbow. Now I'm too familiar with engines... but does
oil travel anywhere near those parts? Also if so what is the best way to
pin point the leak? It wasn't a leak were i can see it physically coming
out and i tried to trace it to something above that but couldn't see any
fresh oil. Any help is appreciated..

Does the motor have an external oil filter housing?
Would it be anywhere near the fuel filter?

I'm thinking of my setup, where one of my fuel filters (a spin-on water
seperator) is mounted nearby the remote oil filter. If there was a pinhole
in the oil filter or any of the remote oil lines/fittings, it could result
in the oil 'travelling' and landing elsewhere.

just a thought...

The fuel pump could be leaking oil. There is a gasket between the fuel pump
and engine block. Make sure the mounting bolts are not loose, then replace
the gasket.

Dont worry about it. Just keep adding oil, and bilge the excess
overboard.
