Default re-upholster

Hey,

I'm thinking of buying a 1990 bayliner sunbridge (see pictures below)
and would like opinions on how much the following would cost around the
san francisco bay area. Any specific references for people who would
do this is also appreciated:

- re-upholster all the external vinyl seats
- get a custom bimini top made including hardware
- get a full canvas top made
- get the boat detailed ( hull waxed, carpets shampooed, etc. )

Do not know the costs, but goodly. For the Seats, Palo Alto Upholstery. Do
not know who goes to the boat to do a measure canvas.

Don't forget a cover to protect all that expensive new vinyl. Labor will be
the largest single cost... so recommend you use only high quality materials
including THREAD.

Are you sure that reworking the upholstry and detailing the boat makes it a
good buy? If the exterior has been neglected it's likely the rest of the
boat has had little care for the past 15 years. All the electronics
probably shold be considered for replacement, too. I wouldn't touch it
unless it is 1) Cheap, 2) Passes a strict survey including mecanicals, and
3) Does well during sea trials.

The Bay area has to have a lot of GOOD boats for sale and even some good
buys.

Good luck.
