I'm going to spend the weekend finishing up the aircraft carrier of a deck that I built around the pool, and smoke a quarter of a hog with friends and beer on Sunday. We've got cloudy and partly sunny with occasional rain and temps in the 70s and 80s throughout the holiday weekend. Doesn't seem much different than your weather forecast. We've had some strange weather the last few days, with highs in the 72 to 75 range, fairly cool for this area, with low humidity (another oddity here!), and at night the bottom falls out into the 50's. My pool is still quite cold, but the kids get in it in a heartbeat! |

My pool is still quite cold, but the kids get in it in a heartbeat! One of our friends lived in NC and had a pool. We visited them during an Easter weekend many years ago....but I will never forget their son jumping into the pool on Easter Sunday....the water was only 55 F or so and he got out in a hurry. I guess it was a tradition. You will find some folks jumping the gun and swimming this weekend in Lake Erie.....the water temperature (taken a mile off shore 30 feet down) on the west end is 56 F and off Cleveland 52 F. Too cold for me! We normally wait till the lake temperature is at least in the mid '60's....normally mid June. |

Mine - rain starting tonight and continuing (scattered thunderstorms) through Sunday with highs only in the mid 60's. Clearing on Monday with temperatures in the upper 60's. Perhaps a get together with our friends on Saturday. A picnic on Sunday with family. We are going to do some boating on Monday with some friends. How about your weather and plans? Lake Hartwell on the GA SC border looks pretty good. I plan on blowing out some cobwebs out of the carbs :-) Highs in the low 80's 20%-30% of scattered T-storms. Capt Jack R.. |

My pool is usually warmer this time of year, but the night temps have been dropping so much the pool can't get above 70 F. I don't get in it until 75, unless I have to. I got in last week when it was 72, for some maintainence, but didn't like it! |
