A good buddy of mine worked for a 'rich dude' in Florida. The guy had
two large yachts...one in Florida and one in the Mediterranean. Before
my buddy left..there was talk of traveling to Hong Kong and buying a
larger boat for Florida. Seems the 'little one' there didn't have a
helicopter landing pad.

I'm having a hard time selecting my next boat. I'm sure it'll be one of these,
but haven't decided which -- yet.

I would suggest you consider the Le Grand Bleu. According to the write up,
LGB was lengthened from 108m to 114m by her new owners. I think the OEM
didn't put in rod holders and the new owners had to lengthen the boat to
install them. :)

Look at the 'dingy' on that thing. I'm sure it's bigger than my Proline. Glad to
hear they've made it a worthwhile boat by installing rod holders!

Kind of fun to go fast in a big boat. Took the Fast Ferry boat from
Barcelona to Majorca in 2001. 97 meters not feet and did 47 knots. And
the boat carries 300 cars and a few semi's amd 800 passengers at that
speed. . . in comfort. Had to slow to about 40 returning as there were
some 10' seas about. Jetdrive and 38,000 HP!

Yiu don't have to travel that far for a fast ferry...
see http://www.catferry.com/

But Majorca is warm and the waters are warm.

I was on the constuction team, and assited Mike directly in its
design.

It should be noted, that Mike's driveway, is shorter than mine.

I did have a good look at the dinghy, the one at the stern. It looks just
like my boat er ah dinghy. I thought I was a boater, now I realize I am just
a dinghist, dingher, or closer to a dinghbat. :}

Thomas

Ditto. I think. Maybe his dinghy is made of papier-mache, just to fool us.

Check out the Annaliesse. There was a special on some TV show yesterday that
showed a tour of this thing. It was unreal. Theater, spas. swimming pool, you
name it, the boat had it. Five levels with an elevator. It can be leased for
$120,000 per *day*, or for a real bargain, $350,000 per week. Maybe I'll take
the wife out for a couple weeks cruise in the Med. [Maybe he'll rent the dinghy
for only $2500 a day!]
