Yeah, there you go! They WANTED GWB to not fullfill his duty!!!

It's not like they really did any training in the 70s era reserve meetings.
They were more like detention hall with everyone sitting around trying to keep
from being bored to death. That is why I didn't reenlist. It was simply a waste
of time.
If you were TAD it was worse than your home unit. They didn't want you in their
"reindeer games".

practice? Your friend is either very lucky or very good!

Anyway the F-4 was just being phased out when I was in the Navy. That
plane had (still has in some countries) an amazing service record.

He is both. He loved the MD engineers. He said if they could add another
bolt, they did. He was forced to leave the plane 3 times.

By 1971, they were wanting people to leave the service. VN was winding down
and then you have an excess of pilots.
