lower unit crack

Hi there,

The lower unit on my 1972 80hp Merc has got a crack in it, and if it's
filled with oil, all of the oil will eventually leak out of this crack.

What options are there for fixing this?

What kind of costs do you think would be involved?

Cheers

Sell it to Clams for parts. I would think that fixing it would be much more
costly than the value of a 30 year old motor.

Actually not too expensive if you take the leg off and send it to a prop
shop. I use Phil's props in Redding, Calif.

I fixed one once using duct tape. It worked well, just remember to
change it every year.
