Default Tracker Tundra 18ft. WT Problems

Just took delivery of a 2005 Tracker Tundra 18ft Wt w/115 Optimax.

Here is the laundry list of problems:

1) Prop had been dropped. (dealer swaped for a another)
2) Over spray of paint on almost everthing. (seats dealer will swap
for new ones)
3) Live wells and bait well leak and where not plumbed correctly.
4) All water fitting for well and tanks leak. (spent over 5 hrs
fixing)
5) Two compartment locks broken. ( Dealer will fix)
6) 115 Optimax missing decals.
7) Missing half of manuals for the boat and components. (Dealer
ordered)

Is this crap normal of did I just buy lemon of a boat. Going from
SeaRay to this, this is joke.

Everybody's comments welcome.

These all sound like problems generated at the dealer's end, NOT
Tracker.

Two things come immediately to mind.

1 - It's an insurance boat.

2 - It's a repo boat.

In either case, I'd just get my money back and buy something
different.

Was this some kind of demonstrator or test boat?
If no, I 'd be very leery. I assume you got a reduction in price.

You bought it from Bass Pro and it was delivered by a dealer or you
bought it at a Tracker dealer?

In either case, I'd still be very leery of this boat for a couple of
reasons - the engine decals and the paint over spray. I'd bet you the
boat was dropped on delivery or somewhere along the line was run into
and it was repairable rather than being scrapped or salvaged out.

I say that only because I had a similar circumstance a long time ago
with a never to be named (only because the manufacturer did the right
thing and gave me my money back) bass boat from ~~ mumble mumble ~~
boats. It was an aluminum bass boat, welded seams and it had almost
the exact same problems you are experiencing. Turns out, it was
dropped at the dealership when it was taken off the truck - they
claimed the insurance, but only did a half assed job repairing the
boat.

I'd still be leery and get out of the boat ASAP.

When I ordered the boat from Bass Pro they said 6- 12 weeks for
delivery. About 7 weeks in I went to the Bass pro for something else
and I asked the salesmen what my ETA was. He said he had good news and
bad news, the good new is your boat shipped the bad news is it was
shipped to Memphis by mistake. They should have it here in St. Louis
in a few days. Three day later I went back to Bass Pro and it was in
there back lot shrink-wrapped. I asked when they are going to prep it?
They said the paper work never travels with the boat and that should
be here is a day or so. We went out looked at the boat and everything
looked fine and he popped open the engine crate and that looked fine.
That Saturday they call and we would like to make a pickup appointment
for Monday. This was all two weeks ago.

At this point I have scheduled to bring it in to a Tracker/Mercury
dealer "The Fishing Hole" for warranty work and the hell with Bass Pro.

You won't be on the Fishing Hole's spring priority list.

Why would you buy an 18 footer?
