Lake Hickory - past flood heights
I'm finding that usenet is kind of light on the subject of floods, rivers,
etc., so I'm hoping someone here might be able to steer me in the right direction. I'm looking at buying a house on the north shore of Lake Hickory (Hickory, Catawba County, NC, US) and wondering where I could go to find out how high the lake has risen in the past in floods. Any referral would be greatly appreciated. |

Check with the local Army Corps of Engineer district. They should be able to tell you. Good idea! Thanks very much. John |

Your local city/county government should have maps and other info
available. FEMA has recently completed new maps for Mecklenburg county. Might be worth checking to see if there is updated info on that area. -Jim |
