Who voted today?

My bride and I just voted in the Democratic primary. We both voted for
Kerry. I was surprised by the large turnout, even at 6:45 pm.

Just heard on the news that Bush is planning to target Kerry's record. I
assume that means Bush realizes he sure as hell can't run on his record,
not without diving into another barrel of lies.

I voted (early voting) for a local Sheriff who is running for the Precinct 4
Constable's seat. And he is a Republican and a Captain in the Army
Reserve (currently in Iraq) too!

Troy Nehls is one helluva nice guy and is a Commander of the Rosenberg
Texas VFW Post.

Of course around here the Democrats don't even bother to field candidates
in most elections. They know better.

I just assumed that it is payback time for Kerry who has been lambasting Bush
for quite some time now. After all, turnabout is fair play now isn't it Herr
Kraut?

You bothered to get up early and go ahead and vote for the Republican,
but the Democrats didn't even bother to field an opposition candidate?
Let me guess, you'll get up early to see who won?

I somehow doubt GWB will do the same. Animal House II.

As I said before our Texa economy, if we were a nation instead of a state
would rank something like EIGHTH place in order of strongest world economies.

Not bad for such "closed minds" eh?

It's the early voting for the Republican Primary Elections that I voted in.
LOL

Here's a picture of ol' Newt and Tom Delay with the OTHER candidate (Contable
Hal Werlein)

Naturally since I consider Tom, Newt & Hal to be too moderate for my tastes
I am going with another candidate -- Troy Nehls.

I'd like to see Kerry's medical records from the Navy.
He won't release them.

BTW, did you know that Kerry went back to his "heroic" actions and
filmed them while he was in Vietnam? He shows the films to this day.

Yeah and so did my fifth-grade school teacher Mrs. Wheeler. Films and
slides of ALL her vacations and exploits. Over and over. And I get a sick
feeling everytime that I think of her to this day...

Texas is either the worst or among the worst states in terms of
pollution, in terms of educating its youngsters, in terms of providing
medical care for its poor, in terms of assuring equal justice before the
law, et cetera, ad infinitum, ad nauseum. If Texas has such a wonderful
economy, why isn't it spending its money on improving the lives of the
people who live in the state?

I've been to Texas several times. While there are a couple of places
that are mildly interesting, and even a couple that are physically
attractive, the state is a bow-wow.

Being originally from Texas (Galveston), I'd like to say that you are
incorrect. Unfortunately, you aren't. Texas isn't doing as well as it
should in education, pollution, teacher's pay, quality of life, poverty
levels, etc. I lived my first 25 years there and my last 24 in Oklahoma,
which ranks below Texas in some of these same catagories (I lost my
engineering position of 23 years last year after a factory closing due to
outsourcing). However, I will say that IMHO there are more than just a
couple of places that are interesting in both states. I especially like the
variety of lakes in Oklahoma that I can put my boat on (attempt to stay
on-topic?).
