Small engine for small boat

I have a 10 foot Jon boat and was wanting @ a 1 hp gas engine for it.
Before I convert my weed eater, do any of you know where one might
obtain something like this?

If you can find an old Seagull engine, they are amazing.... rebuild in 1
hour, rebuild carb in 5 min. They used to be very common because they
were WWII surplus from England and so light, cheap and simple. I
like the weed eater idea.... ever been to Thailand and seen the long
tails? I think you may have something here..... In Thailand they use a
V4 (0r 6 or 8) with a long shaft balance so that they steer the whole
engine etc.

You can get a 2.5 HP from Mercury, etc. You can also go electric.
MinnKota used to have an "electric outboard" that was rated at about 2
HP. How far are you going and in what kind of water? In a river,
forget electric as your only motor.
