Stupid boater tricks - Bayliner on the rocks

Apparently this crew decided to pull up and dock next to the rocks on
the jetty (according to the news). Snapped these shots coming back
Saturday pm.

Sorry for doubting you. Folks here sometimes have fun with Bayliners. ;-)

Never mind that..... you said "...Looks like a PhotoShop job to me..."
Just what interpretive standards were you applying? :-)

Here is a summary of the boat in the yard today:

Outdrive gone
trim tabs bent into junk
swimstep shattered
transom cracked
big chunks out of the keel and bottom
huge patch of gelcoat missing on port bow with cracks in underlying
laminate.

The boat is totalled.

No depth, no shadows.

Hey, watch the Bayliner cracks, I had an 86 23 ft Trophy for 12 years, best
boat I ever had, except the POS OMC Stringer 400 drive on the back. All
glass boat, no rot.
:)

The further away a subject is, the less depth of field there is.

I realize that. But the boat is not that far away yet there are no shadows
(depth) on it or cast onto the surrounding landscape by it.

It was an initial reaction. I was wrong. I explained my reasoning. Time
to move on.

Think about it for a minute and you will answer your own question.

There is a reason is looks flat.

Later,

Tom

I think you've got it backwards.
