Hey Krause:

Too bad. A lesser loss whould have been you taking a swim off the stern of
on the many boats in your "current fleet."

ATTACK MAY BE GREAT WHITE
A swimmer has been killed in a shark attack while snorkelling off the
coast of Western Australia.

A police spokesman said the 26-year-old deckhand on a tourist charter boat
had been attacked by a 20ft (6m) shark.

It happened as he was snorkelling with a group of tourists off Pelseart
Island, 310 miles north of Perth.

Witnesses said the man had been bitten in half by the shark. His body has
not been found. No one else was injured in the attack.

Police sent a helicopter and charter boats to the area to try to find the
shark.

It is the ninth fatal shark attack in Australian waters since 2000.

The type of shark involved in the latest attack is unknown, but if the
size of the animal has been estimated correctly, is probably a great
white.

Great whites, which are called white pointers in Australia, prefer the
cooler waters found off the states of Western and South Australia.

Mr. Bruce, please. Sir Krause posts what would be a completely on
topic post. You reply with nothing but a personal attack on Mr.
Krause. Who's the villain here, Mr. Krause for posting an on topic
post, or you for immediately highjacking the thread into the same old,
same old partisan personal attacks?

Time after time we've seen posts of people complaining about how the
group has sunk to new lows of off topic personal attacks. Most often
those complaining point to Mr. Krause as the crux of the problem. You
Sir, prove those blaming Krause wrong. As Mr. Krause has pointed out,
anything he posts on the group is immediately turned into a personal
attack on him.

================================

I was cruising on Marthas Vineyard the summer they filmed Jaws. That
was an interesting scene with all of the movie folks intermingled with
the tourists and boaters in Edgartown Harbor.

There were a few Florida east coast beaches closed last week due to
numerous shark sightings. Some turned out to be lawyers, politicians
and investment bankers but apparently there were some real fins as
well.
