Nada. Whatsa matter, you shy? ROTFL!!! Me? Shy? Well, it's a work in progress. I have several pictures of fish and stuff, but I haven't had the time to finish off the rod page, add the resource page and a ton of other stuff. Another couple of weeks until I get all my ducks in a row and can spend a day or two on it. Maybe I'll do some today. Thanks for taking a look around. How did you find it anyway? I haven't exactly promoted it much at all. You posted a hint here this morning. Did you carve that lure? If I tried that, I'd be missing chunks of fingers. I did? Oh, the email thing. Very good. Well, thanks for visiting. I would appreciate any comments you may have about the site and it's format, graphics, etc. As to the lure, yes, I made all my wood lures and a couple of plastic ones from blanks that I purchase - Bill Lewis clones usually. Carving is a waste of time when making a lure. I do carve an occasional lure if I'm looking for something more artistic, but most of the time I use a band saw, bench belt sander or a lathe. I prefer the lathe approach for small lures - I have a mini-lathe and it's much quicker. For that particular large lure, that was done on a belt sander after cutting out the form on a band saw. It's a ton of fun and I make a bunch every year for friends and aquatainences. They work pretty well too. Later, Tom |
