Downloading posts and connection
Hi, I would like some information on how people receives the news
groups. I have mine sent to my email, but I have read that others download them. How does that work ? When you download the different threads, can you still use filters ? Also I was wondering how many are using DSL or Cable connections? Is it worth the extra cost ? Thanks for any advice. Ed |

First you need to paint a pentagram on the floor, light five candles and make a sacrifice to the gods of Usenet - preferably a virgin goat with a name of Fluffy. Or Farty. Save the blood, stand in the middle of the Pentagram, sprinkle the blood around and light five candles in the five corners - hopefully the Gods of Usenet will smile on you and give you access. If that doesn't work, then try this: http://www.faqs.org/faqs/usenet/what-is/part1/ http://www.easynews.com/ FYI: DSL/Cable isn't necessary, but it makes it much easier to download mp3 and movie trailers plus the whole world of music and video available to you on the WWW. Fortunately, DSL/Cable doesn't require any sacrifices - just money. Later, Tom |

Damn it, THERE is my problem. The goat I sacrificed was named Fluffarty. |
