OT- Where's the "good news" crew this morning?
Oh krap. :-(
Deadliest single attack so far, and not a single Kool-Aid drinker posting something about fixing a stop light or replacing a roof that was blown off the top of an orphanage. Anybody find a WMD yet? How about Osama bin Ladin? Any sign of him in Iraq? :-( ************* BAGHDAD, Iraq (Feb. 28) - A suicide car bomber blasted a crowd of police and national guard recruits Monday as they gathered for physicals outside a medical clinic south of Baghdad, leaving at least 110 people dead and 133 injured - the single deadliest attack in the two-year insurgency. Torn limbs and other body parts littered the street outside the clinic in Hillah, a predominantly Shiite area about 60 miles south of Baghdad. |

Insurgencies don't attack their own people...particularly at medical facilities. The bombing was done by terrorists...most likely from neighboring countries. Whatever you do, please don't whine to me how these animals deserve rights ender the Geneva Convention. |

It actually took longer than I thought, but that's probably due to your being on the west coast. It hit the news here about 6 AM. Sad. Not something to gloat over. I'm sure Harry, also, will be posting with an "I told you so" grin on his face. I won't see it, but if he doesn't, please let me know. The good news, for what it's worth, is that so many Iraqis were trying to volunteer to join two organizations which are known to be dangerous. It doesn't seem to affect their willingness to stand up for their country. Of course, people who haven't done it won't understand how anyone would want to. John H Why would "I told you so" be out of order? It all could have been avoided, if we had a president with brains, and one who could focus on one objective, without going off on another tangent to Iraq. |

Multitasking is something you are obviously incapable of. I am glad we have a POTUS who is able to multitask rather than focusing on only one objective. |
