Anyone in England with access to Guildhall Library?
 

I know this is a big ask.
Is there anyone over in England that's able to search one book in the
Guildhall Library?
I'm in Australia and am researching the Nellie.
I was told that at one stage she had been insured by Lloyds of London.

Just a thought. If people in England are like some of the folks on this
newsgroup, that last line referring to Jesus will lessen the number of responses

I've emailed them and they've given some basic information on a Nellie,
official number 94170. I don't know whether it's one and the same as our
Nellie. It's hopeful, though.
We know that she is 59' overall, 48' deck, 45' waterline, about 11'6" wide.
The listing in the Australian Register of British Ships lists her as 43'
from stem to rudder or stern post, and 12' wide, with an elliptical stern
and a raking bow.
I've got 2 old photos (~1960) and 2 new photos (~1995, ~2000) of her at:

I've emailed the librarian in Guildhall Library asking whether he can
email me scans of the documentation on that Nellie. She's in the
Mercantile Navy list for 1899 - 1907.
She should have a gross tonnage ~15 tons (she weighed about 10 tons last
time we weighed her).

I'm wondering about getting the details on the ship with official number
94170, name Nellie, and am also wondering whether there is any information
at all on her between 1915 and 1920 in the Mercantile Navy list. She
obviously would not be listed in Lloyd's Register, since it only lists
ships over 100 tons. She started service in the Sandy Straits and Mary
River by 1917.

The entry should be similar to:
Official Number: 94170
Name of Ship: Nellie
Material: W
Length: between 43 and 50 feet
Breadth: about 12 feet
Depth: between 4 and 5 feet
Net Tonnage: probably about 5 tons
Gross Tonnage: about 15 tons
