Personal Flotation Devices

I just purchased an 18' bass boat that will only be used
on inland lakes and rivers. What are the regulations
for PFD's? I know I need a wearable one for each
person aboard but how about a throwable device?
Some people say yes some say no. What's the deal?

Thanks!
CJ

Minimum: One throwable device.

Look up your state's boating regulations on the Internet - all the
detail is in there. Most states also publish a boater's guide - go to
a boat dealer and get one.

Good luck.

Later,

Tom

The square cushions count as a throwable device. And they are handy to have
when you want to take a little nap.

I was contracted to write the entire Coast Guard safety manual, which
I did. I demanded a 9 figure payment for doing it, and got it.
