Here is what I did to get the best and longest lasting results:

1. Wash the boat exterior.

2. Polish the entire outer surface using 3M Finesse It II polishing
compound and applying and removing it with a Porter Cable 7424 random
orbital polisher.

3. Apply 2 coats of Collinite Fleet Wax paste, buffing it out with the
electric polisher.

I would normally rewax again mid season, again using the Collinite.

The exterior looked great all season.
