What is a good repair manual for a 1995 40hp Force engine? I am specifically
wanting to learn how to adjust the gear linkage. I don't think my reverse is
correct.

I have a Clymer's manual for my engine. It has everything from tune-up and
winterization to rebuilding. You can get them at most boating stores.

That's what I use. It isn't as complete as a original manufacturer's
repair manual, but very good none the less.
