Props

Right now you are lugging the engine.
However, your top end is probably about as good as you can get it unless you
went w/ a SS prop.
Going to a 15 is going to increase rpms to 5600 or so as you will be making
more rpms. You will definetly get more hole shot and acceleration.
However, your top end will go down by 4 mph or so.
Best bet would be to go to a 17 pitch will will get your rpms up around 5300
(producing more hp now that your in the power band). Your acceleration and
hole shot will improve and your top end will decrease by about 2 mph or so.

You have to decide how you use the boat and what you want to do. I would go
w/ the 17 unless you run the boat w/ a heavy load all the time.

Hello all, my boat engine is proped at 13 3/8 x 19..I want to go to a
13
3/8 x 15, will this size prop give me more top end or out of the hole
quicker. The engine is a 1997 Evinrude 115, 4900 RPM wide open trimmed up.
Any help would be great.

Typo there. Meant to say making more HP (not rpms which is obvious).
